We have seen an exponential rise in the amalgamation of business and technology in recent years. The boundaries between IT and business strategy are blurring day by day – IT has become the backbone of any competitive strategy. Newer social applications are changing the very concepts of value creation and consumption. Mobile marketing, computational finance, virtual manufacturing, intelligent supply chains and virtual communities of practice are just some examples of this trend.

We are driven by the concept of competency-based management education. The concept connotes the development of abilities to manage self, to manage emerging knowledge and technology, to manage the environment and to manage evolving challenges and opportunities.

The Faculty of Computer Science offers a wide range of courses at various levels. The purpose of these courses is to provide opportunities for advanced studies and research in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology and related fields, and also to produce highly skilled computer personnel to cater to the need of Computer professionals in the country and abroad. The Department maintains a high standard of education through continuous assessment and with periodic tests, quizzes, seminars and field projects. The Department maintains close links with professional organizations at national and international levels, to enhance the professional and academic standards of the faculty and as well as of the students.

The contents of courses offered are regularly revised and books are recommended to cope with the rapid developments which are taking place in Computer Science and Information Technology. All the curricula have been designed in the light of recommendations of Ministry of Higer education Afghanistan. Thus all the curricula of Department of Computer Science are developed for CS/IT on the following policy:

"Curriculum should be made flexible so as to be responsive to the changing structure of the market. The curricula shall encourage thinking, creativity and project construction ability. The curricula of CS/IT shall be made comparable with international standards and matching the needs of the next century by developing libraries, laboratories, and above all teaching staff".

څرنګه چې نن ورځ ټکنالوژي د ټولنېز ژوند او د نړیوالو اړیکو بنسټېز عامل بلل کیږي، نو په نني عصر کې د ټولنیز ژوند څخه نیولي بیا ترکاروبار او بازاروموندني پورې ټول د ټکنالوژۍ پورې تړاو لري ، نو بهتره مو وبلله چې خپل ځوانان په عصري ټکنالوژۍ سمبال کړو او د هېواد دغه بنیادي ستونزه په معیاري او اساسي شکل سره بشپړه کړو او خپل هیواد د نړیوالو او سیمه ئیزو هېوادو سره د نوې او عصري ټکنالوژۍ په برخه کې سیال کړو.

موږ پدې باوري یو چې د نن عصر د ټکنالوژۍ بازار ډېرې وخت په تحول او پرمختګونو کې دی  ځکه مو وموپتیله چې د هر ډول راپېښېدونکو ټکنالوژیکي  پرمختګونو او مسائلو په وړاندې به خپل لازم هر اړخيز چمتوالي ولرو. هېره دې نه وي دغه چمتوالی د علمي څېړنو،تحقيقاتو ،ملي او نړيوالو تجاربو څخه په ګټې اخيستنې او د يو علمي چاپيريال په لرلو به منځ ته راځي. په دې ډول چې نه تنها د افغاني ټولنې بلکی د نړیوالو هیوادونو اړتیاوې او ضرورتونه د هیواد په داخل او خارج کې رفع کولو سبب وګرځو.

 

Faculty of Computer Science 

The Faculty of Computer Science at Khurasan University has two Departments.

• Department of IT and Networks
• Department of Software Engineering

All of these departments are headed by experienced and dedicated chairpersons who are eminent in their fields. They develop and maintain a curriculum that is updated regularly, based on the continual changes in the dynamic business world. The departments continuously assist the administration in their efforts to develop their current faculty and to expand to create diverse and competent faculty pools, which make Khurasan one of the most reputable institutions in Afghanistan today.
